Meet Our Director of Instruction Rob Strano


Rob Strano is the Lead Instructor for Strano Golf Academy and one of the top golf coaches in the United States. You have seen him on The Golf Channel with numerous appearances on Morning Drive, School of Golf and Champions Tour Learning Center. Rob also is the host of his own TV show “The Golf Kingdom” which can be found on ROKU and Amazon Fire TV streaming platforms as well as locally over 40 times per month on BlabTV. He combines his unique experiences as a player on the PGA, Nike, Nationwide and major tours and a top  teacher into a training program for golfers at all levels of ability. Rob has also been an Instructor/Lead Instructor with the golf schools at Pine Needles Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina and his training program is an accumulation of experience as a teacher, student and player on the professional golf tours which has benefited from working with recognized instructors such as Dr. Jim Suttie, Mike Adams, Mike McGetrick and Peggy Kirk Bell. As a player, Rob won 5 times and also earned the reputation as one of the “nicest players on tour” by donating a significant amount of his time to share his expertise at numerous charity events, junior clinics and corporate outings. Widely recognized as one of the top putting coaches in the world along with superior knowledge of the swing and short game the player can get any part of their game addressed and improved at Kelly Plantation with the Rob.

Meet Strano Golf Academy's Staff Coach Laura Jansone

Originally from Latvia, Laura came to the United States to play golf at East Tennessee State University. For 9 years, she played professionally on the Ladies European, LPGA and Australian LPG Tours. She was the first golfer from her country to play professionally full time. After retiring from the tour, Laura joined the LPGA Teaching and Club professionals and became PGA Coach and American Development Model Coach certified. In addition, Laura is the assistant golf coach for the University of West Florida women's golf team in Pensacola, FL. Laura's competitive nature and fun attitude makes her suitable to teach anyone from the low handicapper trying to get an edge on their weekly scramble to the first time junior being introduced to the sport. She integrates a wholesome, athletic, student-centered approach when teaching golf to all ages.
